Η  εικαστικός  Μυρσίνη (Μυρτώ)  Βουνάτσου  έχει  ως  κύριο  πεδίο  της  έρευνας  της  τις εγκαταστάσεις/  βίντεο‐εγκαταστάσεις,  την  βίντεο/ψηφιακή  τέχνη &  τα  new media arts. Σπούδασε στο διατμηματικό  μεταπτυχιακό Τμήμα  της ΑΣΚΤ και  του ΕΜΠ Αθηνών με τίτλο Ψηφιακές Μορφές Τέχνης και έχει Integrated Master στη Ζωγραφική. Είναι αριστούχος πτυχιούχος του τμήματος  Ζωγραφικής  της  ΑΣΚΤ  Αθηνών  με  τον  Καθ.  Ν.  Κεσσανλή  και  του Παιδαγωγικού τμήματος του ΑΠΘ. Φοίτησε στο τμήμα Οπτικής Επικοινωνίας της Σ.Κ.Τ. Βερολίνου (με την Καθ. M. Wedder) &  παρακολούθησε μαθήματα στο Παν/μιο της Κεντρικής  Αγγλίας  του  Bermingham  στο  Τμήμα  του  Hogeschool Roderdam & Omstreken στην Ολλανδία.  Από  το  2003 έως το 2022  εργάστηκε ως  Συνεργάτις Καθηγήτρια  στο Προπτυχιακό  και Μεταπτυχιακό  Πρόγραμμα  Σπουδών  “Παραγωγή  Βίντεο,  Οπτικοακουστικά  Μέσα  και Κινούμενα  Γραφικά”  του  Τμήματος  Φωτογραφίας  και  Οπτικοακουστικών  Τεχνών  του Πανεπιστημίου  Δυτικής Αττικής (πρώην ΤΕΙ Αθήνας). Από  το 2022 είναι Επίκουρη καθηγήτρια  στο ίδιο Τμήμα. Έχει συμμετάσχει σε επιστημονικά συνέδρια και διατελέσει επιστημονική υπεύθυνη σε πολλά ερευνητικά προγράμματα με γνωστικό αντικείμενο τα εικαστικά, τις σύγχρονες ψηφιακές μορφές τέχνης και τις οπτικοακουστικές τέχνες. Έχει κάνει ατομικές εκθέσεις και έχει λάβει μέρος σε ένα πλήθος ομαδικών εκθέσεων στην Ελλάδα και το εξωτερικό. Υπάρχουν ετεροαναφορές σχετικά με το έργο της από κριτικούς, ιστορικούς τέχνης και δημοσιογράφους. Έργα της έχουν δημοσιευτεί σε πολλούς καταλόγους, ενώ κάποια από αυτά βρίσκονται σε ιδιωτικές συλλογές.

Visual artist Myrsini (Myrtó) Vounatsou’s main field of research is installations/video installations, video/digital art, and new media arts. She studied at the interdepartmental postgraduate program of the Athens School of Fine Arts and the National Technical University of Athens, entitled Digital Forms of Art, and holds an Integrated Master’s degree in Painting. She is a graduate with honors from the Painting Department of the Athens School of Fine Arts with Prof. N. Kessanlis and the Education Department of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. He studied at the Department of Visual Communication at the SKT in Berlin (with Prof. M. Wedder) and took courses at the University of Central England in Birmingham and the Department of Hogeschool Roderdam & Omstreken in the Netherlands. From 2003 to 2022, she worked as an Associate Professor in the Undergraduate and Graduate Program «Video Production, Audiovisual Media and Motion Graphics» at the Department of Photography and Audiovisual Arts of the University of West Attica (formerly TEI Athens). Since 2022, she has been an assistant professor in the same department. She has participated in scientific conferences and served as scientific director in numerous research projects focusing on visual arts, contemporary digital art forms, and audiovisual arts. She has held solo exhibitions and participated in numerous group exhibitions in Greece and abroad. Her work has been referenced by critics, art historians, and journalists. Her works have been published in numerous catalogs, and some of them are in private collections.
